	Complete welding service is maintained primarily to hard-band drill collars, stub drill collars, submerged arc welding to rebuild tool joints on drill pipe, and to manufacture or rebuild stabilizers. In building up drill pipe, our procedure is to clean the ID and OD of the pipe, preheat if necessary, weld tool joints on box and pin ends to allow for proper cleanup, then place in a temperature controlled furnace for stress-relief. The welded joint is then placed in one of our hollow-spindle lathes. During the process, all lead and taper, along with Brinell hardness check procedures are performed and documented. Connections are then phosphated and rust protection applied.
